bianca’s Adoption Story
On October 1, 2024, eight-year-old Bianca, formerly known as Gwen, found her forever home with Amanda in LA after a challenging start that began in early 2024 when she was sent to a Korean shelter as a stray. Despite her owner's plea for the shelter to care for Bianca while hospitalized, Bianca spent five months in a cage before Pug Rescue of Korea stepped in to rescue her in June 2024. After a journey that involved a flight volunteer to LA and two foster homes, Amanda became her forever mom, describing Bianca as a fashionable, opinionated, and smart "middle-aged Italian lady" who hates anything with wheels but loves bananas, apples, and her six favorite toys. Initially anxious, Bianca has calmed down and now requires sleeping under blankets on Amanda's shoulder, often lying on a pillow as if human, and despite her quirky habit of yelling and doing circles when Amanda leaves, she is the miracle Amanda needed to heal her heart.
Lilac’s Adoption Story
On October 17, 2024, Lilac, a pug rescued on June 1, 2024, after being surrendered in Korea due to a dog allergy, found her forever home on the East Coast with her new mom, Sarah. Like many pugs, Lilac required surgeries for an elongated soft palate and bladder stones before she was ready for her long flight across the Pacific to the US. Since settling in quickly, Lilac, described as a sweet, curious, independent, and confident girl, has successfully trained Sarah on the importance of timely meals and snacks. She loves meeting people during her long walks, making friends at local pet-friendly businesses, and visiting the art museum grounds. With a bit of spice, she walks into a room as though she owns it, loves to chew on her harness and leash, and adorably twirls when excited, bringing joy to everyone she meets.

fauna’s Adoption Story
Fauna, a three-year-old alpha pug who became a shelter dog after her owner's passing, was adopted on January 12, 2025, by the Schiffman family in Oklahoma, a perfect match after a three-month foster period in NYC. Initially drawn to her through social media, the Schiffmans, still grieving their previous pug, Piglet, felt Fauna was the ideal new addition. Fauna quickly asserted herself as the "ruler and protector" of her new home, enjoying walks, dog park visits where she confidently marks her territory, and snuggling on "the big bed" with her new parents. She's a vocal pug, purring when content and "screaming" at onscreen animals and even thunder, yet she's also curious about her new hedgehog brother, Bren.
