fauna’s Adoption Story

Fauna, a three-year-old alpha pug who became a shelter dog after her owner's passing, was adopted on January 12, 2025, by the Schiffman family in Oklahoma, a perfect match after a three-month foster period in NYC. Initially drawn to her through social media, the Schiffmans, still grieving their previous pug, Piglet, felt Fauna was the ideal new addition. Fauna quickly asserted herself as the "ruler and protector" of her new home, enjoying walks, dog park visits where she confidently marks her territory, and snuggling on "the big bed" with her new parents. She's a vocal pug, purring when content and "screaming" at onscreen animals and even thunder, yet she's also curious about her new hedgehog brother, Bren. Despite her independent streak, Fauna is a true "Velcro dog," constantly seeking proximity to her humans and bringing immense joy and entertainment to their lives.
