Larry with his new family

💙ADOPTED❤️ Jan 4, 2025 – We rescued 5yo Larry (fka Pippin) from a hoarding situation in Korea on Feb 9, 2024 (same one Milton @showmenoodz was in!).

PRK volunteer & foster mom @jjack.ddeck.m first tried to find his forever home in Korea. On her own, she cleaned him up, managed his weight, paid for his patella surgery & all other veterinary bills. 🥰 But alas, there is almost no market for rehomed dogs in Korea. 😔

So, on December 19, we flew Larry to SFO to continue his search for a forever home. A mere 3 weeks later, while at @pughotel, he found his forever family ☺️.

His mom @saltier:

“Larry is the sweetest boy ever and such a love. He adores ‘holding hands’ by resting a paw on my arm or leg whenever we’re sitting together, and he’s always ready with kisses. He also happily obliges when his older sister Abby forces snuggles on him—I love catching them sleeping in the same bed together.

Larry is completely obsessed with toys. He brings them on walks, takes them to bed, and sometimes has to make the tough decision of dropping one to eat his meal. Watching him open his Barkbox delivery can turn your entire day around in seconds—I’ve never seen a dog who loves toys as much as he does! He also loves sitting on shoulders; if anyone sits on the couch, Larry is sitting on their shoulder 😂

He’s incredibly well-behaved (huge thanks to amazing foster mom @jjack.ddeck.m). He rarely barks, walks beautifully on leash, and doesn’t react to other dogs even when they bark or lunge at him. He comes to my office with me & has already figured out exactly where the dog treats are! He even had a blast at the Giants game.

After we lost our 17-year-old pug, Eleanor, last year, Abby would cry occasionally, & I could only assume she was lonely. It was really important to me that Abby help choose her new sibling, so she came with me to Michelle’s house (@pughotel) to meet the residents. After sniffing around, she noticed Larry curled up with a toy (of course) and promptly sat on him—which I took as her official seal of approval!

Having Larry join our family has helped us all heal. Both Abby & I cry much less now, & it’s been so wonderful having 2 dogs in the house again.” 🥹

Congrats to this happy, complete family 💕
