elvis’ Adoption Story
Elvis with his family during sunset at the beach
💙ADOPTED❤️ May 6, 2025 – Elvis Aaron Presley (fka Watson) received a belated Christmas gift when we rescued him from a “no kill” commercial shelter on December 26, 2024. Essentially a paid surrender service, these for-profit no-kill shelters are controversial and misleading, which we’ll detail next time. Elvis originally lived in a home witha girl pug sibling. She was rehomed while their owner surrendered him to this for-profit shelter.
We treated Elvis’ giardia, neutered and vaccinated him, cleaned his teeth, and off he went to America on January 23, 2025 ✈️!
At last, 5 months later, Elvis was adopted by the Adler family:
“Our little Elvis Aaron Presley might be four years old, buthe’s our little cuddly baby. He loves affection and toys, and we love him for his quirkiness, his curiosity, and his attachment to us. Our little Elvis has the softest ears. He has brought a whole new energy to our home. He sprints incredibly fast, jumps high, and knows how to get into mischief. Our pantry hasn’t been the same since his arrival. He’s cutest when he flops down on you. He wakes up with full energy and finishes the day on empty. He loves car rides, loves to explore, and has the cutest little underbite. We’re so lucky to have found ourselves an adorable little pug!”
A big thanks to Anita S. for fostering Elvis for 4.5 months and getting him acclimated to the US! 🥰
Congratulations to the Adlers and Elvis! ☺️💖
