I’M AVAILABLE!
Hi! I’m rumi!
Meet rumi!
Rumi the pug is dynamic & lovable.
She may be 6, but age ain’t nothing but a number! Her foster mom says, “In some ways, she seems more like a puppy!” She is sweet, energetic, curious, & vigilant - she pays attention to everything!
Sweet & affectionate, Rumi likes to cuddle, play with her toys (plays fetch w/her toys.
She tries to play with blankets & pillows. She gently chews & tugs on them, but I tell her to leave it & distract her w/toys. Early on, she was hyper at bedtime and would try to chew the sheets & blankets. She has settled down, though now that she knows our bedtime routine.
She is pee pad trained and is making progress peeing outdoors. If she hasn’t pooped after she pees in the grass, I either put a pee pad on the ground for one more pee or bring her in the house for one more pee. About half the time that does the trick and she poops outside. She has never pooped in the house.
Crate trained? Not sure as we don’t use a crate.
I have only heard her bark once or twice when a neighbor's dog barked.
She is not dominant over our other dog, Pumba (he’s the alpha), but she gets a little possessive/aggressive with her bully sticks.
Rumi is good with other dogs so far. We walk w/our neighbor & her dog, and Rumi mostly ignores him. When other dogs come up to her, she stands still & allows them to sniff her.
She was great with my 20mo grandson!
Rumi could be an only dog or with other dogs. She loves attention from her humans. Since she is energetic, she might like running around w/another dog.
Rumi would likely do fine home alone for several hours. But, we haven't left her & Pumba much, but, for the short times we've been gone, she is asleep on her bed when we come home.
I believe the best home scenario for Rumi is one with patient, loving people who can give her lots of affection, playtime, walks, & attention.
You should adopt Rumi bc she is adorable! Her small size makes her easy to pick up and walk her. She is alert, curious, & smart!
