Hi! I’m Leroy!

I’M AVAILABLE!

Meet Leroy!

  • Leroy would make a great family dog. He’s very calm, sweet, low-key. He likes to spend his day finding the most comfortable place to snooze, whether burrowed under the covers, on top of pillows, or in a sun spot.

  • Leroy is a very curious dog and will inspect your groceries for anything tasty and smells everything outside!

  • He gets very excited at food time and can jump super high.

  • He is a sweet, cuddly and smart.  He is a great companion.

  • My favorite qualities about him are that he is just so content and soothing.

  • He does great in the car and out and about when coming along for errands.

  • Leroy flips his bowl when he wants to eat.

  • He is mostly potty trained, but marks sometimes. Not crate trained.

  • He does not bark excessively.

  • He is good with other dogs, and he is not alpha.

  • He is likely good with kids, though we have not seen him with kids.

  • Leroy does not chew things he’s not supposed to,

  • He’s almost got the hang of basic commands like sit, paw, stay.

  • He would do OK home alone for several hours, but prefers to always be near a human. He’s happiest cozied up next to someone, but is okay being home alone or with his foster brother for a few hours.

  • The best home scenario for Leroy is any home where he is loved and treated well. He would do well with almost anyone: a family, other dogs, etc. As long as you give him belly rubs, strawberries, and lots of love, he’s a happy boy.

Leroy’s Rescue Story

We rescued Leroy Dec 30, 2024. He arrived at the shelter as a stray (but this was his second time there as a stray), likely dumped by his owner. He had several scabs on his body, leading the vet to believe that he lived in a kennel outdoors in a rural area. What else tipped us off to his previous outdoor life? He was infected with heartworm. We treated it, and he’s heartworm-free now.

*Adoption fee covers vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, all medical care, and transportation from Korea to the US. For more information on the adoption process and fee, visit how to adopt.
