Health Considerations

After rescue, we took care of her corneal ulcer, removed her splentic, skin and mammary tumors (all benign), and treated her heartworm infection.
Fiori has an adrenal gland tumor on her right side, but it's a non functional tumor, our vet advises that we recheck/monitor it routinely.

Fiori’s Rescue Story

Fiori was rescued from the shelter September 20, 2025. Her original owner was to be admitted to the hospital and asked the shelter to keep her until she was discharged. The owner promised they would return for her on September 17, but, unsurprisingly, the owner did not return any of the shelter’s phone calls. So, the shelter contacted us.
