Hi! I’m bert!
I’M AVAILABLE!

Meet BERT!
Bert is fun, curious, playful, and sweet!
Favorite qualities about Bert? He is very intelligent. Alert to everything going on, he brings a fun and mischievous energy to the house. At the same time, he equally enjoys quiet time on the couch with us and being pet. Outdoors, he is an enthusiastic explorer who enjoys interacting with all people and dogs.
Trained on pee pee pads, and potty training outside is progressing well.
No apparent anxiety, does not bark excessively, does not chew things he’s not supposed to.
Bert is great with other dogs. He’s not alpha or dominant over other dogs.
We haven't met any kids, but we imagine he’d be good with them. He is friendly and gentle.
Initially, he would mark and hump pillows but this has subsided since he’s become more comfortable in his new environment.
Bert would do fine at home alone for several hours.
Although Bert gets along with other dogs, we feel he would be more emotionally satisfied, secure, and confident as the only dog. Currently, Bert is fostered in a home with another pug, and he wants nothing to do with him. Bert only seeks affirmation from his humans, and it seems the divided attention is not enough for him. He enjoys being held, caressed, and receiving attention and acknowledgement. However, he would do fine in a household with other dogs, but it may not be the best life for him.
The best home scenario is one that can provide him with the attention he craves and enrichment experiences outside of the home.
Why should someone adopt this pug? Bert is a good guy, fun, loving and trusting. He’s a charmer and will bring amusement and amazement to the home. Prospective adopters might also appreciate his petite size and underbite (teeeef)!

BERT’S Rescue Story
We rescued Bert on April 27, 2025. His owner surrendered him first, then a week later, surrendered her Pomeranian (we named her Gigil). She said that Gigil missed her pug brother so we should come get her. We discovered they are not bonded. Gigil will be available for adoption later in the fall).
*Adoption fee covers vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, all medical care, and transportation from Korea to the US. For more information on the adoption process and fee, visit how to adopt.
