Annabelle is a good girl. She is not ossy or feisty. But she won’t put up with another dog if they try to bother her. She’ll just stay away on a chair or in a bed.

Annabelle’s Rescue Story
Annabelle was one of 12 dogs living in dire conditions with a hoarder in Jinrae, South Korea. The environment was extremely dangerous due to a record-breaking heatwave; the dogs were kept in containers without air conditioning, which tragically led to the death of a Golden Retriever from heatstroke.
A local neighbor advocated tirelessly for the animals, navigating the hoarder's unpredictable and indecisive behavior. After many attempts, a brief window of opportunity opened. PRK volunteer Jackson’s mom coordinated with the neighbor to secure the release of the only pug in the group.
Upon rescue, Annabelle showed some signs of the trauma she endured. She was very shy and initially spent her time hiding from people. And, it took more than 24 hours for her to feel safe enough to begin eating. But she has been improving! And with more love and attention, she will become more and more trusting and secure.
