I’M AVAILABLE!

Hi! I’m alfie!

Meet alfie!

  • “Alfie is a joy to be with!” He is a sweet little guy who loves to cuddle.

  • My favorite thing about Alfie is watching him run through the park. His backend is still healing and he has a very silly gait.

  • Alfie is missing one eye and his tongue sticks out 24/7. This just makes him Alfie✨

  • He is almost house-trained, but he needs to be taken out regularly. The belly bands have helped. He also eats his poop so you must be vigilant. He’s been improving slowly.

  • Alfie will go in his crate, but he sleeps in a big bed with the grumble.

  • He is not alpha. He gets along great with other dogs, but may prefer to be solo if other dogs steal his toys. Alfie enjoys snuggling with other dogs.

  • He is fine with the kids we’ve had around.

  • Alfie loves to chew. He will chew bark, rocks, and dirt if you don’t watch him closely. He’ll come with a mask that he’s comfortable wearing. The mask keeps him safe, preventing him from ingesting rocks or other dangerous items.

  • The best home for Alfie would be with someone(s) who adores him and treasures his imperfections. He needs walks, loves car rides, and adventures with the family. We hope his new family takes him on adventures where he can explore all that’s good in this world. He’s a curious guy, and we know he’d love all of the experiences. Then at night, he would cozy up in bed with his person.

  • You should adopt Alfie if you are searching for your soul creature and adventure partner. A pug is a wonderful addition to a cozy bed. Pugs want to be where you are all of the time. They are alternately a court jester and the snuggliest buddy ever.

Health Considerations

Alfie is one-eyed. His foster family is working on putting weight on him and giving him plenty of exercise to strengthen his legs after his bout of discospondylitis.

alfie’s Rescue Story

He was found as a stray, wandering around a mountainous area with factories. He ended up at a shelter, where we rescued him on 8/30/24. We treated him for canine coronavirus and pancreatitis. Then, in November, Alfie was diagnosed with discospondylitis, a painful spinal infection that causes paralysis. Since recovered, his walk is still a little wonky, but it just adds to his character!

*Adoption fee covers vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchip, all medical care, and transportation from Korea to the US. For more information on the adoption process and fee, visit how to adopt.
